Doctor
Kenneth Minarik is a licensed Doctor of
Optometry now practicing in Northern Illinois. Having been in practice
for 24+ years, his specialties include contact lenses and visual
rehabilitation of the disabled. He is a graduate of the University
of Pittsburgh, as well as the Illinois College of Optometry.
During the early 1990s Dr. Minarik served as the Chief Optometrist
at a large surgical practice in Rockford, Illinois. During that
era the most common elective eye surgery was RK, and he provided
post-operative care to just over eight thousand patients. Later,
when LASIK surgery was introduced and became heavily advertised,
he left the field to return to the private practice of optometry.
